Family of Joseph I MIUS dit d'Azit (28) & Marie Jeanne AMIRAULT

71. Joseph II MIUS, G Grandson. 
Born on 27 Jun 1700 in Cap Sable, Nova Scotia and at the age of 4, Joseph II was baptized in Cap Sable, Nova Scotia on 22 May 1705. Joseph II was apparently privately baptisted on the day he was born as was the custom, and the baptism was certified on the day noted by Pere Felix PAIN. (LFD unconfirmed)  Joseph II died in Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., Nova Scotia in 1765 and was buried in 1765 in Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., Nova Scotia, he was 64. . 

On 9 Sep 1726 when Joseph II was 26, he first married Marie Josephe PREJEAN, daughter of Jean PREJEAN & Andree SAVOIE, in Port Royal, Nova Scotia.  Marie Josephe was born in 1702.

It appears that his name is in the St. Joseph church registry in Philadelphia, the last record dated 10 Feb 1763.

On 20 Oct 1761 when Joseph II was 61, he second married Marie VINCENT, in Pennsylvania, USA.

72. Charles Amand I MIUS, G Grandson. 
Born on 17 Dec 1701,  Charles Amand I died in Bacarro, Nova Scotia sometime before 1799, he was about 97.

On 21 Nov 1731 when Charles Amand I was 29, he married Marie Marthe HEBERT, daughter of Antoine HEBERT & Jeanne CORPORON, in Port Royal, Nova Scotia.  Jeanne was born on 21 Jul 1710  and died on 22 Feb 1803. She was buried on 23 Feb 1803 and was 92.  In the burial records it indicates Marie Marthe as being 92 years and 6 months of age.

73. Francois I MIUS, G Grandson. 
Born on 19 Mar 1703 in Cape Sable, Nova Scotia. Francois I possibly died in Salem MA.

On 1/14 Feb 1735 when Francois I was 31, he married Jeanne DUON, daughter of Jean Baptiste I DUON dit Lyonnais & Agnes HEBERT, in Port Royal, Nova Scotia.  Jeanne was born on 29 Mar 1718.

They had the following children:

74. Angelique MIUS, G Granddaughter. 
Born in 1704,  Angelique died on 19 Mar 1738, she was 34.

On 4 Jan 1734 when Angelique was 30, she married Francois GROVALET, son of Bernard GROVALET & Francoise BINARD.

They had the following children:

75. Marie Josephe MIUS, G Granddaughter. 
Born in 1706,  Marie Josephe died in Quebec, PQ. in Dec 1757, buried on 15 Dec 1757 in Quebec, PQ., she was 51. 

On 23 Oct 1730 when Marie Josephe was 24, she married Jean Baptiste RAYMOND, son of Francois RAYMOND & Anne COMEAU.  Jean Baptiste died in Dec 1757 in Quebec, PQ. and was buried on 27 Dec 1757 in Quebec, PQ., apparently only a little more the a week after his wife, marie Josephe.

They had one child:

76. Clair MIUS, G Granddaughter. 
Born in 1709,  Clair died in Cherbourg, France about 8 Mar 1760, and was buried on 9 Mar 1760 in Cherbourg, France. She was 51. 

** Possibly Charles Amands daughter...sister to Luce etc..- LFD

On 21 Jan 1731 when Clair was 22, she married Charles I HEBERT, son of Antoine HEBERT & Jeane CORPORON, in Port Royal, Nova Scotia. Born in 1704. Charles I died in Cherbourg, France abt 17 Mar 1760, he was 56. Buried on 18 Mar 1760 in Cherbourg, France.

It's interesting that this is another couple which died only within a week or so of each other.

77. Marie Madeleine MIUS, G Granddaughter. 
Born in 1710.

About 1733 when Marie Madeleine was 23, she married Jean Baptiste HENRY, son of Jean HENRY & Marie HEBERT. In 1752, Marie Madeleine was living on Ile St. Jean.

They had the following children:

78. Jean Baptiste I MIUS, G Grandson. 
Born in the summer 1713 at Cap Sable, Nova Scotia. Jean Baptiste I died in Hubbard's Point, Nova Scotia on 29 Jun 1806, he was 93.  He was buried about 29 Jun 1808 possibly at Hubbard's Point, Nova Scotia.

In 1735 or possibly 30 Oct 1736 when Jean Baptiste I was about 22, he married Marie Josephe SURETTE, daughter of Pierre I SURETTE & Jeanne PELLERIN, in Port Royal, Nova Scotia.  Marie Josephe was born (13 Oct ?) 1719,  and died in Massachusetts, USA in 1760/63, she was 40.

It's also stated in some documents that he married Marie Josephe 13 Oct 1719. Pere Clarence gives the date as 1735, but he may be basing this on the date of their first child which was born in 1736. Jean Baptiste may have married for a second time to Marie Modeste DOUCET - LFD

About 1736 when Marguerite was 21, she first married Michel HEBERT, son of Jean HEBERT & Jeanne DOIRON.

They had one child:

On 29 Jan 1753 when Marguerite was 38, she second married Jean DELAGE, in Port Lajoie, Ile St. Jean.

They had the following children:

80. Cecile MIUS, G Granddaughter. 
Born in 1717,  Cecile died in Port Lajoie, Ile St. Jean on 24/26 Jan 1751, she was 34,  and was buried on 26 Jan 1751 in Port Lajoie.

Cecile married Augustin DOUCET dit Justice, son of Jean DOUCET & Francoise BOURGET.

They had the following children:

81. Genevieve MIUS, G Granddaughter. 
Born in 1719.

About 1745 when Genevieve was 26, she married Francois GUERIN, son of Jerome GUERIN & Isabelle AUCOIN.

Marguerite Genevieve, Marie Rose and Anne Modeste may have been from Francois GUERIN's first marriage - LFD

They had the following children:

82. Dominique MIUS, G Grandson. 
Born in 1722.

Dominique may have been living with his sister Genevieve on Ils St. Jean at the time of the 1752 census, ** confirm - LFD

83. Rosalie MIUS, G Granddaughter. 
Born in 1725.

About 1750 when Rosalie was 25, she married Eloi LeJEUNE, son of Pierre LeJEUNE & Jeanne BENOIT.

They had the following children:

Rosalie MIUS was apparently living in Ile St. Jean in 1752.

84. Charles Benjamin MIUS, G Grandson. 
Born in 1728,  Charles Benjamin died about 1756, he was 28.

About 1749 when Charles Benjamin was 21, he married Marie Josephe GUEDRY, daughter of Augustin GUEDRY & Jeanne HEBERT. They were living in Ile St. Jean in 1752.

They had the following children:
