Dad's River Running Buddy

The "Stingray" Patrol

A fall run in "l'Acadie"...on one of the water ways of our ancestors ...
enjoying the river and making memories...

And showing his old dad that the center of stability
is actually "outside" his kayak...ya right...

Of course I'm hungry...it's been a whole hour since supper...

But sometimes in the wilderness...you have to share...
(However...hand feeding a wild racoon is NOT the recommended method)

Smart as a whip...tough as a nail...

Heading out for an overnight winter wilderness survival trek...
and yes..those white spots is snow...
which escalated into one of the most severe blizzard in recent memory...
His reaction after a cold stormy night in a rough built lean-to..."It was awesome dad..."

Chris (far left) and some younger members of his "Stingray" patrol
heading out for a couple of nights out in the bush
on another winter wilderness survival trek...
No tents...only shelter available will be the lean-tos they can build themselves...

A Kodak moment...Chris and his sister Michelle
and for a couple of minutes I never had to block one punch... :)

When he's not at school or studying Chris can be found...
either training with the Fire and Emergency Service...or with his Scout Patrol...
or designing and building R/C robotic units which he builds from scratch...these are not kits...

Jr. Fire Fighter Chris (R)...with his sister Fire Fighter/Paramedic Michelle (L)
all smile and all wet after a night of friendly Emergency Zone Fire Fighting competition...

Chris (2nd from left) working on a "victim" during an airplane crash training senerio...

To see want an actual training scenerio looks like Click Here

The face begins to show to what point they are pushed to during training...

But they still manage a smile...even if they are exhausted...

And they wouldn't have it any other way...because they all know lives depend on their endurance...

Chris loves to fish...here he is with the one that "didn't" get away...

No peace and quiet in this house...but I can't really say anything...
I used to play drums too...pay back time I guess...greee

Scout "Stingray" Patrol Leader and Jr. Fire Fighter...
